Terms of Use
These terms govern access to Shumse and explain the platform rules, data disclaimers, and compliance expectations that apply when using our public site and future digital services.
Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Shumse. By accessing, browsing, indexing, or otherwise using this website, its public pages, data views, or related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by any additional guidelines, policies, or notices that may be published from time to time.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should discontinue use of the platform immediately. Continued use of Shumse constitutes acceptance of the then-current terms, including any reasonable future updates required for platform operations, security, compliance, or product evolution.
Strictly No Financial Advice
All commodity, fuel, metal, and related price information published by Shumse is provided strictly for general informational and reference purposes. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, hedging guidance, brokerage activity, or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise act on any market position.
While Shumse aims to maintain reliable and timely datasets, market data can change rapidly and may be delayed, incomplete, estimated, third-party sourced, or affected by technical interruption. Shumse makes no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability, and shall not be liable for trading losses, business interruption, procurement decisions, contractual reliance, or any direct or indirect damages arising from reliance on published data or any inaccuracy within it.
Data Scraping & Bot Policy
Unauthorized scraping, bulk extraction, automated harvesting, vulnerability probing, denial-of-service activity, credential abuse, or any bot behavior intended to copy, republish, mirror, overload, or commercially exploit Shumse content without permission is strictly prohibited.
Notwithstanding the above, Shumse expressly permits authentic AI crawlers and legitimate search or discovery agents operated for public indexing and understanding of the public site, including crawlers associated with Google Gemini, ChatGPT/OpenAI, and Anthropic, provided that such access remains lawful, non-malicious, respects publicly exposed controls, and does not degrade platform availability or security.
Accounts & Subscriptions
Certain Shumse services may in the future require user accounts, API credentials, paid subscriptions, or usage-based access controls. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and API keys, for all activity associated with their accounts, and for ensuring that their usage complies with applicable law, rate limits, and any service-specific restrictions.
If digital API products, subscription plans, or enterprise access packages are offered, billing terms will apply at the point of purchase. Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, fees for digital access, API entitlements, and delivered subscription periods are non-refundable once provisioned, including cases involving partial use, non-use, mistaken purchase, or account inactivity.
International Compliance & Privacy
Shumse operates with a global audience in mind and recognizes that visitors may access the platform from multiple jurisdictions. We aim to align our public-facing operations, disclosures, and privacy posture with broadly recognized international compliance expectations, including GDPR principles relevant to users in Europe and CCPA-aligned transparency expectations relevant to users in California.
This statement does not replace a dedicated privacy policy or jurisdiction-specific legal advice, but it reflects Shumse’s intent to maintain responsible geo-compliance, lawful data handling, and clear trust signals for international users, partners, and search ecosystems.
